H&BC is a place for those who are willing to bring out their natural beauty and demand efficient aesthetic solutions alongside with professionalism, luxury and discretion. With us you can prevent the changes that time causes and lessen the effects which have been already caused. In H&BC we ensure that our aesthetic medicine treatments with the use of botulinum toxin type A provide complete safety thanks to our professionalism, modern equipment, knowledge and experience. During treatments we use only disposable equipment, which is kept in sterile, germ-free conditions. High efficiency of treatment we owe to materials of highest quality, which are individually chosen after a previous doctor consultation. The most common anti-aging solutions are botox and hyaluronic acid. Botulinum toxin, also known as  'the sausage acid' is a very strong natural toxin which halts the release of acetylcholine - a neurotransmitter responsible for transmitting stimuli between nerves and muscles. The botulinum toxin blocks the links between nerve endings and their corresponding muscles, so it blocks the so called nerve-muscle synapses. The toxin mixes with the presynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction what causes muscles to loosen and wrinkles gradually straighten up. This process is used in medicine.

Botulinum toxin is used in treatment of neurological diseases characterised by excessive muscle tension and also in the therapy of excessive sweating (hands, feet and armpits), strong headaches, gnashing of teeth (bruxism) and also in aesthetic medicine - in order to remove laughter lines. The injected toxin works locally but because of the ability of nerve fiber to create new links, the effect of the therapy diminishes and finally disappears after 4-6 months. The treatment should be repeated after that time.

Botulinum toxin is the strongest known biological toxin. It is a neurotoxin produced by an anaerobic rod-shaped bacterium called Clostridium botulinum. Botulinum toxin products used in medicine are produced in labs from isolated bacterium strain, cleansed and vacuum packed in strictly measured amounts. This medicine is safely and effectively used in a wide scope of medical fields for about 20 years.

In aesthetic medicine, in order to smoothen the wrinkles, doctors use about 20-60 units during one treatment. It is used in very small amounts which are strictly adjusted to particular patient and work only in a given area. A systemic infection is out of the question because the danger of being intoxicated starts with about 2500 - 3000 units.

This product is designed for people who want to get rid of wrinkles in upper part of their faces, the laughter lines. Those are wrinkles which often appear on young faces because of vivid face mimic. In case of very deep, solid wrinkles, there might be a possibility of adding a hyaluronic acid filling to the treatment.  It might be done alongside with other methods of face lifting.

The botulinum toxin has a wide range of use in erasing wrinkles:
between eyebrows ('lion wrinkles' on lower forehead)
horizontal lines on forehead
around eyes (crow's feet)
other: lower eyelid, around mouth, chin, neck.

In time of a few days (maximum up to 2 weeks) the stopping of laughter lines production should be noticed. The effects of treatment last around 4-6 months. You should remember that the effect is individual for every patient. The following uses of toxin lengthen the effects of treatment.

The process of treatment:
The botulinum toxin is injected with the use of a disposable syringe with a very thin needle. A very small amount of the medicine is precisely injected into few spots on patient's face. The treatment is very short (depending on the number of places to cure, around 15-30 minutes). Pain is minimal. The treatment doesn't require any anaesthesia.

After the treatment:
Wrinkles totally or partially disappear, face expression becomes softer, looks naturally, the general mimic is kept in balance. The amount of toxin used for aesthetic purposes is multiple times smaller than the one used for medical purposes and it is completely safe.

The botulinum toxin starts working after 2-3 days from the injection. Whereas the full therapeutical effect can be seen after 7-10 days. The effect lasts for about 6 months. It depends on individual features of the organism. After that time face mimic gradually comes back. The treatment should be repeated then. If for any reason, a patient cannot continue treatment at that point, his or her skin would still benefit from the treatment. After only one treatment, so for around half a year of botulinum toxin use, face looks younger and well rested. The wrinkles become shallower. It is thanks to an additional effect of the medicine, after half a year of not smocking your skin, or not doing any moves responsible for the crow's feet, your skin is resting and after the finish of botulinum toxin effect you still look younger. This is a great future investment, giving your skin half a year of rest. The botulinum toxin therapy for aesthetic reasons is relatively easy, it is done in ambulatory environment, it doesn't require any specific diagnostic examinations and directly after the end of treatment, patients can go back to their daily routine.

Post- treatment actions:
During four hours after the treatment you should avoid massage in the place of injection, don't lean your head forward, don't sleep, don't expose yourself to hot air ( e.g. hair drying) . For 4 days after the treatment don't go to sauna or solarium.

The repeating of treatment:
The treatment can be repeated after around 6 months but no sooner than 3 months.

Undesirable effects:
pain during injection
small heamatoma in the place of injection if the needle reaches a small vessel
small, temporary swelling and itching in the place of injection
excessive muscle flaccidity (ptosis, mouth corner lowering)
headache (can be successfully treated with painkillers)

-neuromuscular disorders (myasthenia gravis, Lambert- Eaton myasthenic disorder)
-hypersensivity to product ingredients ( albumins)
-use of given medications, one week before the treatment:
Aminoglycoside (streptomycin, gentamicyn, amikacin, kanamycin)
Aminoquinoline (chloroquine)
Penicillamine (Cuprimine)
tubocurarine, pancuronium, galamine
lincomycin, tetracycline, polimyxyns
-partial skin infections
-pregnancy, lactation
